Looking through some past record's i came across this prayer, as this is Bishop Patrick's last few months in the Diocese of Lancaster before he retires please keep him in your prayers.
Lord God,
You have chosen you servant Patrick
to be Shepperd of your flock
in the tradition of the apostles.
Give him a spirit of courage and a right judgement
a spirit of knowledge and love.
by governing with fidelity
those entrusted to his care,
may this prayer and discernment
help him to rebuild your church
as a sign of salvation for all the world
We make our prayer through Christ our Lord,
Amen.
